College Presentation Video

For this year’s spring break I was scheduled to give about a dozen in-person presentations to various college classes here in California’s Central Valley. Needless to say, with Covid 19 currently ravaging the world, my presentations were cancelled. Several teachers asked me if I could make something available on-line for their students. Initially I said, oh heck no! Being as I have never video taped myself before, ever, I was super set against such an experiment.

However, often when I am asked to step outside my comfort zone, while my initial response is one of, no, my brain tends to keep asking me ‘well, why can’t you?’ Sadly this often results in lost sleep, but eventually often motivates me to push myself even though I am afraid.

Thus it is with great trepidation that I am mostly happy to be able to provide this video of my presentation. Please be aware that I did this in one cut, with no editing, quite unlike my podcasts! Thus there are stumbles, and fumbles, and potentially places where I totally messed up. Instead of attempting to redo my entire video, I will simply attempt to identify and list all of my errors here.

Errors noted so far:

1 – during the end when I am discussing the questions, I said I studied religion while in high school. Ooops, nope. I studied religion in college. I have a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies actually.
