It Has Begun

June 2, 2020

Hello all! All of this alone time during Shelter in Place has allowed me quite a bit of time to consider things. It has been an interesting time of reflection for me. Especially with a variety of anniversaries looming on the horizon. June 6th will be 1 year out from the orchi, June 28th 2 years since I legally became female and changed my name, July 3rd 3 years since I chose to take the leap and change my hormones. My how time flies and yet……. sometimes it feels like the world is standing still. What once was so shall it be again……….. whatever my brain thinks that is supposed to mean?!

Anywho, I recently started writing again. Well not so much here at my small venture into the world of content creation, I know, I’m such a bad blogger! Do y’all possibly remember at the start of this thing I warned everyone, I will not post with any regularity, so don’t set your clocks by my actions! Yeah well, I began writing again. Writing is something for me that I have done off and on since I was young, say maybe 12ish or so. At one point I thought I may possibly try and be an author as a career, ha! That was before I discovered how few authors actually get paid anything significant for their work. And then teaching called and I found my true home.

Though writing has never really left me I have always been very indifferent about it. Now, with so much time on my hands and a desire to wrap up past thoughts, I have begun writing down the story that is me. I’m such a self deprecating human that I don’t think anyone would ever be interested in reading the slop that pours forth from my fingers, but I am finding it to be very therapeutic and so I have been hacking away at it. So far I’m only into the 2nd chapter and we will have to see if it ever reaches an end.

So, um, yeah, that’s one small thing I have up to lately. What else? Working at my full time job of teaching, though this is the first official week of summer vacay! Woohoo! I’ve also been working on my drawing skills, as well as spending quite a bit of time in the woodshop. So I’m staying busy!

I hope everyone out there is safe and well. We have SO much happening in society right now. Hey 2020, don’t you think it maybe time to let up a little?? I’m hoping for a peaceful summer. Good luck to me and good luck to you all!

Love you!

Love yourselves!

Love writing!!!
